This page explains how RankBoostLabs reviews, edits and looks after guest posts. It covers every post on the site, including any written by the person who runs it.
Who reviews posts
Aaryan Sharma, who runs RankBoostLabs, reads every submission himself. Nothing is published automatically, and no post goes live without his approval.
How a submission is reviewed
You get a reply within 7 days of submitting. It will be one of three decisions: accepted, accepted with changes, or declined with a short reason.
Before a post is accepted, we check:
- Fit. Most posts cover search engine optimization (SEO) or go to market (GTM) work. Useful posts on other topics are welcome too and go under General. Either way, a reader can use what it teaches.
- Experience. The author shows they have done what they describe.
- Originality. We search for copied or reworded passages and confirm the post hasn’t been published anywhere else.
- Facts. Claims, numbers and quotes have a source the reader can check, and we open those sources.
- Links. Every link is opened and judged by hand.
- Images. Each image the author didn’t make has a credit and permission to use it.
How we edit
We edit for clarity, accuracy, length and house style. That can mean a new headline, shorter paragraphs, merged sections or plainer words. We take out sales language and calls to action.
We don’t change your argument or your conclusion without asking you. You see the edited version before it goes live. If you don’t agree with the edit and we can’t settle it together, we don’t publish the post, and you are free to take it elsewhere.
Link rules
- One link to the author’s own site in the author bio.
- Links in the body stay only when they help the reader: sources, original research, real examples, or a tool the post explains.
- One more link to the author’s own site is allowed in the body when that page helps the reader.
- Search and go to market posts keep normal links after review. Posts filed under General carry rel=”ugc” on every outside link.
- Anchor text describes the page it points to. Keyword stuffed anchors are rewritten or removed.
- No paid links, no link exchanges, and no links placed on behalf of someone else.
- No links to gambling, adult content, cryptocurrency promotions, cannabidiol products, payday or instant loans, essay writing services, or sites that sell followers or reviews.
- We set link attributes ourselves, following Google’s guidance on qualifying outbound links (Google Search Central) and its spam policies on links (Google Search Central).
- We don’t add, swap or change links after a post is published. The exceptions: replacing a broken link with a working page that has the same information, and removing a link whose page has turned into something harmful or unrelated.
- We decline every request to add a link to a post that is already live.
Artificial intelligence assisted writing
Writing with help from artificial intelligence (AI) tools is allowed when a person writes the post and checks it.
- AI tools may help with research, outlines, transcribing your own notes, translating your own draft, and grammar.
- The argument and the examples must be yours. You check every fact, quote and number, and you can answer questions about anything in the post.
- Tell us in the “Note for the editor” box of the submission form which tools you used and for what. When AI played a real part in the writing, the post carries a short note saying how.
- Posts that read as generated with light edits are declined. If it happens twice, we stop accepting posts from that author.
- Images made with AI tools are labelled in the caption. Charts must be built from real data.
This follows Google’s advice that AI output should be fact checked by a person before it is published, and that readers can benefit from knowing how content was made (Google Search Central).
Sources and accuracy
- Link to the original source, not to a page that quotes it.
- Say when data was collected, and use data that is still true.
- Screenshots must be real. Cropping and hiding private details is fine; anything else is not.
- No invented quotes, testimonials or case studies. If an example is made up to illustrate a point, the post says so.
Conflicts of interest
- Authors tell us about any paid, employment, advisory, investment or client relationship with a company they mention or link to. The post carries a short disclosure line.
- Nobody can pay to be published, to get a faster review, or to keep a link.
- We don’t accept a post in exchange for a link, a post or a favor anywhere else.
- Aaryan works on link building and GTM for software companies. If he writes a post, or a post mentions a company he works with, the post says so.
Corrections
Spotted a mistake? Email aryan@onegtmlab.dev with the link to the post and what is wrong. We check it and reply within 7 days. A factual correction gets a dated note at the end of the post explaining what changed. Typos and broken formatting are fixed without a note.
Updates to older posts
Search and GTM change quickly. When a tool shuts down or a guideline changes, we may update a post and add a dated note. If a post is too out of date to fix, we add a note at the top saying so, or ask the author to update it.
Removal requests
- Authors. If you wrote a post and want it taken down, or want your name removed from it, email us from the address you submitted with. We will do it within 7 days.
- Anyone else. If a post shares private information about you, uses your copyrighted work, or says something false about you, email us with the details. We review every request and reply within 7 days.
- We don’t remove or change posts in return for payment, and we don’t remove fair, accurate criticism because someone dislikes it.
- We may remove a post ourselves if we later find an undisclosed paid link, copied text, or another broken rule.
Your rights as an author
You keep the copyright to your words. By submitting, you allow RankBoostLabs to publish your post, edit it as this page describes, and keep it online. Because we only publish original work, please don’t republish the full post elsewhere. Quoting a short excerpt with a link back is fine.
